  Embarrassing things that happened to you on the platform?

  i remember one of my last talks, it was a bible reading, i was 15, and on crutches.

  i tripped getting up on the platform and took the mic stand with me.

  that was embarrassing.

  Although it didn't happen on stage it was embarassing none the less. My locak KH had a small ministry school in the basement (perhaps 24 or so). Well one time while sitting in this small basement audience I eeked out some methane. Well everyone in the room instantly looked at me, most of them laughing. I tried to play it off as if it was the guy next to me but no one bought it. LOL

  Turbulent times hard to deal with.

  i have to go to the district assembly or convention or whatever its called this weekend.

  it's just crippling to my naturally good mood to think about the multiple hours of bullcrap i will have to endure.

  do you guys have any tips or experiences to help me pass the boredom without getting into too much trouble?

  Although not a psychologist, I worked as an office manager of a psychiatric councelling office for about five years. Yeah, in that time I was able to read a case file of a JW or two. One of which was serving time in a federal prison for his tendency to take sexual advantage of young children.

  I guess that what I’m trying to say is that, I’m sure if the elders in your congregation knew that you are conspiring with apostates that your standing within the rank and file would be reduced to, perhaps, publicly reproved, at best. At worst…well…then maybe you’d have a reason to post here.

  i have been reading alot lately and not posting enough, but i have a situation that i would like some advice for.

  i have been having doubts for some time now, and no longer believe the wbts have the truth.

  my wife when she first heard of this dilemma, had some issues with it, we had a fallout, and we were seperated for some time.

  Listen dude. Your still the head of household. JW's know all to well what domineering husbands can be like! Put your foot down, get a sack, slap her around a bit, and forbid her to go to the meetings. It's that easy.

  Oh, surely Jehovah has given you free will to do as you will. However to think that your actions do not affect him would be naive. A loving creator would not want to see one of his loving children fall prey to hungry wolves.
